Who runs this blog
Mind Soup is a personal blog written by Mohammad Hijazi. It is published using Blogger, a service operated by Google.
What is collected
I do not collect names, email addresses or any other personal details from readers directly. There is no newsletter signup and no account to create.
Blogger and Google collect some information automatically when you visit any Blogger-hosted site, including your IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages you view. That collection is Google's, not mine, and is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Comments
If you leave a comment, the comment form is provided by Blogger and usually requires a Google account. Your display name, profile photo and comment text become publicly visible on the post. Comment data is handled by Google under the policy linked above. You can delete your own comments at any time, and you can ask me to remove one.
Storage in your browser
This site stores two things in your own browser to make it behave the way you left it. Neither is sent anywhere, and neither identifies you.
- Your color mode. If you switch between light and dark, that choice is saved so the site opens the same way next time.
- A list of post titles. The search box filters posts without reloading the page, so the list of published post titles, dates and summaries is kept in temporary session storage. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Blogger may also set its own cookies, which are covered by Google's policy.
Links out
Posts link to other websites. I have no control over what those sites collect, and this policy does not apply once you leave.
Children
This blog is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
