Episode 1 - A comedy spoof about a cosmic kid and his frustrations on a typical day in Hamra, Beirut.

I completely fell for this at first. It is filmed in a documentary-style, so you would assume that they are telling the truth. Apparently, this is all one big hoax just so people will want to buy the shoes they mention in the video. It's very clever advertising because they don't even mention the names of the shoes (from Hi-Tec) in the video. Sawt Al Niswa interviewed students involved in the strike against the 31% increase to tuition. This increase to tuition is part of AUB’s intention in making quality education less accessible to middle class student. Independent students are now leading the initiative after the USFC failed to lead a united student movement. ( link )

It's funny how the people had a difficult time in finding themselves. This is absolutely hilarious. Identical twins in identical rooms opposite each other and proceed to prank everyone who walks in.

Well, it is time to share. I've been obsessing over Avatar like there's no tomorrow. I've seen it 3 times in the movies already and well, it gets better every time. One of my favorite parts is this epic moment:

With the media heating up for the December Climate Change Summit in Denmark, it is time to for some reflection. Does the name "Severn Cullis-Suzuki" mean anything to you? Severn was 12 when in 1992, she raised money to attend the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. She spoke to the summit members in a speech which became famous. A speech which -sadly enough- could have been given today. It makes one wonder what progress really happened in the past 17 year. Do we actually make progress on protecting our planet for the sake of our children, and their children? In an age where Green Goes Commercial, where corrupt companies like Monsanto and Cargill start dominating our food chain, and chase the food prices up so the poor no longer have access to food. A world where Western companies buy up fertile land in Africa to grow biofuel crops so less land becomes available for food agriculture? Did we make progress, or are we still sliding downhill?
