To whom it may concern, It seems that there is a common misconception going on on campus and elsewhere that I am the hidden person behind " The Worst of AUB " blog that contains criticizing articles, photos and videos about AUB. This is to denounce any involvement in the creation, publishing or maintaining the mentioned blog. Yesterday, I received an e-mail from the administrator of the blog "AUBite" who wishes to remain anonymous (I don't blame him/her). The purpose of this e-mail was only to request publishing rights of one of my copyrighted articles , which I granted. Although my articles are being republished there, I take no responsibility of the other content published by this blog, nor any material that may not "uphold the spirit of AUB." I urge those who are making false accusations to get the facts straight before spreading rumors. As of May 1, Lebanon is set to head the United Nations Security Council for the first time in almost 50 years and will remain in that position throughout the month. Lebanon will gain exceptional importance in that role in light of several conflicts and dangers raging in many areas in the world, reported the daily An Nahar Saturday. The daily said that Lebanon's presidency "will not change the world, but nations great or small, far or near, friend or foe, will have to address Lebanon with the term 'Mr. President' before the Security Council and the entire United Nations." After the recruitment process that occurred during the Fall semester, the Outdoors committee now includes more than 120 enthusiastic members, which is a number much larger than last year's. These members are divided into seven teams, all of which essential for the completion of crucial tasks required for the success of this event, which will be held during a weekend towards the end of May. Each team has a team leader chosen by the Outdoors Executive Team in collaboration with the Office of Student Activities. These teams are also supervised by three Vice Executives (VEs) who are responsible for two or three teams. Cupertino, CA, United States (AHN) - With an alliterative nod to its popular iPod music and video playing devices, Apple on Wednesday unveiled the iPad, a touch-screen tablet computer. Chief Executive Steve Jobs introduced the device, shaped like an oversized iPhone, at company headquarters that had been anticipated for weeks by Mac fans and the media. The Wi-Fi-capable device contains a 1-gigaHertz chip, with more than 16 to 64 gigabytes of Flash ram. Like Apple's popular iPhone, the iPad runs Apple Store applications. Jobs said the tablet was designed with the environment in mind. It's highly recyclable as components are free of arsenic, BFT, PVC and mercury.
