27 Years..

September 14th 1982... I remember what my parents told me about that day. How their hearts stopped, how their minds were blown away... how it seemed that this country had lost all hope.
On September 14th 1982, a brilliant Lebanese president was assassinated by a person whose every breath is a waste for humanity, whose presence is an abomination and whose place is rightfully where those like him roam: forgetfulness.
President Bachir el Gemayel represented hope for many Lebanese. He represented a country where we can live safely, in economic grace and where we can actually talk to each other without something in the back of our head warning us about the person we are addressing...
